Joanne’s Blog Book

On Friday the 21st July 2006, I started an artist residency in Durness in the far north west corner of mainland Scotland. During my 3 month stay, I scribbled and sketched in my blog book with pages made from a pair of my favourite denim jeans! This is the first arts-based project for Mackay Country and the Durness Development Group under the overall management of Ronnie Lansley. The three-month project was supported by a National Lottery grant through the Scottish Arts Council and with partnership funding from Highland Year of Culture 2007. All of my ‘books’ were displayed in this converted canoe and will tour Mackay Country during 2007. Click here to read my blog and lots more!
